(Translated by Capella Cao)
My yesterday abandoned, long irretrievable;
Today troubles, my mind full of worries.
Vs of autumn geese ride the wind ten thousands Li;
Beautiful drunken panorama from my tower.
Your writings as profound as Penglai Palace prose, with the structure of Jian'an.
My poetic style as refreshing and beautiful as Xie Tiao.
Our great ambitions reach through the clear sky to catch the bright moon.
Drawing swords to break the flowing water, water only rushes more;
Raising a glass to drink against sorrow, sorrow only intensifies.
Ah, life is disappointing, why not loosen my hair tomorrow, drift freely downstream.
Note 1: Li is an ancient Chinese unit of distance; roughly one third of an English mile.
Note 2: In ancient China males pulled back their hair into a bun. Loosening hair could be a metaphor for breaking free.

弃我者去,昨日之日不可留;
